Brewed: December 29, 2010 Bottled: June 17, 2011
Green and purple grapes from Marcia's former house on Berkley St. Picked, pressed and frozen in September 2009. When bottled it was sweet with good grape flavor. Melomel / Pyment
Yeast was prestarted with honey and agave nectar.
Started heating honey and water in the kettle. Added grape juice and the must chiller. Heated to 170 and kept hot for 20 minutes. Cooled and poured into a carboy. Added water to make 5 gallons. Pitched yeast. Stirred and stored with a blow off tube.
Blow-off tube swapped for bubble-lock on February 3, 2011.
March 4, 2011 - Racked.
June 17, 2011 - Bottled.
